Where are the chalets located?
Chalet Silver Fox, Chalet Windegg and Chalet Hochkar are in the quiet, sunny Nasserein district of St. Anton am Arlberg, close to the slopes; Chalet Gamskar is also in St. Anton, directly at the slope. Chalet Illimani is in the neighbouring village of Pettneu am Arlberg, in a quiet, sunny spot facing the Hoher Riffler glacier, with a private shuttle to the Nasserein lift.
Which chalet is best for a large group?
Chalet Silver Fox has three apartments for 10 or 12 guests each. Chalet Windegg has two apartments for 6 guests each – 12 guests when you book the whole chalet. Chalet Hochkar sleeps up to 11 guests and Chalet Illimani 8 adults and 4 children.
Which chalets are ski-out?
Chalet Hochkar and Chalet Gamskar are ski-out: the ski lift and ski school are only 280 m away. Chalet Silver Fox is approx. 350 m from the ski lift, and Chalet Windegg is a few minutes on foot from the gondola. Guests of Chalet Illimani use the private shuttle to the Nasserein lift.
How do I book a chalet?
Send us an e-mail to team@chalet-hochkar.com with your preferred chalet, arrival and departure dates and the number of guests. We reply personally with availability and a quote.
What are the arrival days?
Chalet Silver Fox is booked from Sunday to Sunday. For the other chalets, please ask us about possible arrival days when you enquire.
What does a stay cost?
Prices depend on the chalet, the season and the length of your stay. Please send us your dates and we will send you an individual quote.
Service & facilities
Is breakfast included?
Yes. Breakfast and housekeeping are included in every chalet.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
At Chalet Illimani check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is until 10:00; your chalet host will welcome you on arrival. If you arrive earlier, it is usually possible to store your luggage in the chalet until it is ready. For the other chalets we confirm the times with your booking.
Can we book a private chef or a fully catered stay?
Yes. A private chef is available on request in Chalet Silver Fox and Chalet Illimani, and Chalet Gamskar and Chalet Hochkar offer a fully catered option.
Which chalets have a sauna or spa?
Chalet Silver Fox has an alpine sauna with relaxation area. Chalet Illimani has a private spa with sauna, cold-water bucket shower, massage treatment room and relaxation area.
Are the chalets suitable for families with small children?
Yes. Baby cots and high chairs are available in Chalet Gamskar, Chalet Hochkar and Chalet Windegg. Chalet Illimani is a dedicated family chalet for 8 adults and 4 children with an additional staff bedroom for a nanny.
Is there Wi-Fi and parking?
Wi-Fi is available in all chalets. Chalet Gamskar has 3 parking spaces, Chalet Windegg 4 parking spaces and Chalet Hochkar free parking.
Where can we store our skis?
Chalet Gamskar, Chalet Hochkar and Chalet Windegg have a ski room with boot dryer and a ski depot directly at the ski lift.
Chalet Illimani
Does Chalet Illimani have its own spa or wellness area?
Yes. Chalet Illimani offers its own private spa area with sauna, a cold water bucket shower and massage treatment room. It is the perfect place to unwind after a day on the mountain.
Can I book massages or physiotherapy?
Yes. You can either visit a nearby hotel spa for massages and wellness facilities, or arrange in-chalet treatments with a local sports physio provider, subject to availability.
Is there a shuttle to the ski lifts?
Yes. Chalet Illimani offers a private shuttle service to and from the ski lift, making it easy and comfortable to reach the slopes and return to the chalet after skiing.
Is there a ski depot?
Yes. Guests of Chalet Illimani benefit from a free ski locker at a partner shop next to the Nasserein lift, so you do not need to carry your equipment back and forth each day.
Where can I buy ski passes?
You can purchase your ski passes online in advance and collect them when you arrive, or buy them directly at a lift station in the Nasserein area, which you can reach using the shuttle.
Is ski rental available?
Yes. There are professional ski rental shops close to the Nasserein lift station where you can hire skis, snowboards and boots, with expert advice on the right equipment.
Is local transport or a taxi service available?
Yes. In addition to the private shuttle to and from the ski lift, a taxi shuttle can be arranged for transfers to restaurants or après-ski venues.
Do you provide baby and children's equipment?
Yes. We are happy to provide items such as a diaper bin, high chair and travel cot on request. Please let us know your needs before arrival so we can prepare everything for you.
Can childcare be arranged?
Yes. We recommend a local childcare provider who can offer in-chalet childcare during the day or in the evening.
St. Anton am Arlberg
Is there après-ski in the region?
Yes. St. Anton and the wider Arlberg region are known for their lively après-ski scene, with everything from traditional mountain huts to refined lounges and bars. Whether you prefer relaxed drinks or a more energetic atmosphere, there is something for every taste.
Are there restaurants and cafés nearby?
In St. Anton and Pettneu you will find a wide variety: bakeries and cafés, traditional Austrian inns with regional dishes, pizzerias and fine dining for special occasions. Your host will happily recommend places that match your preferences.
How can I book ski or snowboard lessons?
There are excellent local ski schools offering group and private lessons for adults and children, from complete beginners to advanced skiers and snowboarders. We recommend pre-booking lessons, especially during peak weeks – your host will gladly help with recommendations and contact details.
Are off-piste and guiding options available?
Yes. Experienced local guides offer off-piste and freeride tours for advanced skiers and snowboarders. Safety equipment and local expertise are essential off-piste, so we recommend booking certified guides through our suggested partners.
What other winter activities are available besides skiing?
The area offers tobogganing, cross-country skiing and indoor sports at a large multi-sport centre with trampolining, climbing, bouldering, bowling, squash and tennis.
How big is the ski area?
St. Anton is part of Ski Arlberg with 88 lifts and more than 300 km of slopes, plus world-famous deep-snow and freeride terrain. For cross-country skiers there are more than 40 km of trails.
How do we get to St. Anton?
St. Anton am Arlberg has its own railway station on the Arlberg line with direct trains from Zurich, Innsbruck and Vienna. The nearest airport is Innsbruck (approx. 100 km); Zurich airport is approx. 200 km away.
